Abstract

The idea of computer-assisted pharmaceutical formulations is presented bycomputer -assisted formulation development. Different kinds of pharmaceuticalemulsions, including micro-emulsions, self-micro emulsifying systems,double- emulsions, have been developed and optimized. Examples are given toshow how formulation development can be helped by certain computer aidedtools. The formulation and/or processing parameters are optimized using avariety of strategies, including design of experiments and artificial neuralnetworks. In addition, various essential quality features and processingparameters are optimized at the same time. The examples offered should serveas a future pharmaceutical emulsion and (self) microemulsion formulationcreationasastarting pointfor quality-by-design.In today's pharmaceutical industry, optimization has arisen as a method forselectingthegreatestcompromiseresponsetowardparticular issue.Optimization refers as the process of improving something or making it workbetter. Finding a perfect, effective, or functional solution is what optimization isall about. When it comes to design optimization chores, there is no one-size-fits-all answer. This can be accomplished using a variety of methods. The factorialdesign, which is the most often utilized technique in the field of formulationdevelopment, is highlighted here. This page's goal is to give a summary of themany topics and procedures linked to optimization techniques, such asterminologies used in optimization, optimization parameters, optimizationprocess, and optimizationmethods.
