This is a review article about an, Gamma Knife Radiation Therapy, and this is a therapy which is used to treat the functional diseases like neurosurgical disorders, e.g., Parkinson’s disease and intractable pain. and in this topic, we have discussed about treatment, Radio surgery, working, instrumentation, methodology. The surgery does not required skull to be opened for the operation and the patient treated in one session, and non-surgical procedure, and the treatments are done within a few hours .Brain radiation is used for the primary treatment (or) as a booster treatment .Rate of tumor control is great and the symptoms relief is accomplished , rapidly .Approximately 80-90% of patients maintain good mental health until the death .The International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements and measurement, applications, advantages and disadvantages, and different types of therapy of gamma knife radiotherapy. The Gamma Knife has undergone little modification since its introduction, as described in detail.
