Abstract

The automobile industry is on the move – exploring different alternatives of pollution-reducing fuels ranging from water to bio-ethanol to electricity. Some electric vehicles have already made their way to the roads, while many more electric vehicles are being manufactured after careful research and development. From the scientific perspective, the pros of having and using electric vehicles outweigh their cons but a customer’s inconvenience in adopting the new technology must also be considered while predicting the future of these vehicles. Though electric vehicles cause less air and sound pollution, they take 8-10 hours to charge and the number of charging ports is not as high as that of petrol pumps.

This research paper explores the customer’s perception of electric vehicles. The impact of age and gender on a customer’s views has also been analyzed.
