Abstract
According to the literature, diseases caused by more than 60 species of fungi have been registered on the leaves of sweet cherries and cherries. Among them are such economically important diseases as clasterosporiasis, leaf burn, milky sheen of leaves, coccomycosis and polystigmosis. A number of other sweet cherry and cherry diseases have a limited distribution and are of no economic importance. In a rather large number of fungi recorded on or isolated from leaves, the taxonomy is unclear, and their pathogenicity to host plants has not been experimentally confirmed. This article presents the results of a critical analysis of all types of fungi, the occurrence of which on the leaves of sweet cherries and cherries was reported in the world literature.
